Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council Review of Parliamentary Election

Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council has ordered an independent review of the parliamentary election in Newcastle following a number of irregularities, including missing postal vote packs, denied proxy votes and voters incorrectly turned away from polling stations.

Conservative Candidate, Owen Meredith commented: "It is vital lessons are learnt to ensure the credibility of future elections and trust in the democratic process.

"My team and I will be submitting evidence to the inquiry. We are already aware of a large number of voters who were denied their right to vote either by failures with postal votes or denied on the day at a polling station."

If you were affected, and would like us to add your concerns to our evidence, please contact my team on campaign@owenmeredith.co.uk
